This week’s challenge was to create a gallery of photos that show off the word and color green. I brought together a gallery of nine pictures taken in various places. Images that I think represent green for me. Click on each image to see a larger view.

Wow, what gorgeous photos! Love them!
Green represents growth, healing, and the heart chakra to me, or a personality that is based in empathy and emotions. Greens can be some of the nicest people! 🙂

Still digging out from the mess and replacing roofing tiles. Do you have hints for getting red wine stains out of white carpet?

I’ve heard club soda works pretty well. Maybe I ought to reconsider my offer to host in the New Year?

Cathy, your photography is just wonderful! I really loved looking at your photos, especially because green is my favorite color. My bridesmaids wore green at my wedding, and in all honesty I would have too if I hadn’t been the one getting married.

Emily,
I love green too! All shades of it! Thanks so much. When I saw the Weekly Challenge today, I thought, “That’s easy!” The hardest thing was choosing which photos to post. And yes, green probably would not have worked out as a wedding gown.:-)

The two things that come to mind immediately when I think of green are grass and pistachio ice cream. Two of my favorite things.

Weebs,
I love grass and pistachio ice cream, too. I just love pistachios – don’t buy them very often, though, because I simply cannot stop eating them.

Crystal,
That is truly green in it’s wonder. I love the idea that we have plants – and we call them evergreens – that stay green all year round. Even through the winter. And it has also come to mean sustainability. Fun!
Love you, too.

Thank you so much, Sandra. This was an a easy challenge since I love green and seemed to have a lot of photos in my files (I love photography) that seemed to shout “GREEN!” I’ve also been taking a lot more photos since I started my blog.
Best,

Thanks, Jen. I love the anemone, too. It’s a great image but it also reminds me of this year’s scuba trip to the Caribbean. I love diving and I love photographing that wonderful underwater world. Glad you liked it!
