“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
~John F. Kennedy
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my dear friends on the blogosphere. In the U.S., this day is set aside to give thanks. If you’re not living in a country that celebrates as we do, I invite you to take a few moments to think of something for which you’re thankful and join us. I want you to know that I’m thankful for you.
P.S. I saved this shot in a large format. To see it, just click on the image.

I am thankful for you, too.
Did it not originate in the survival of an early colony? We do not have Thanksgiving as a holiday, I thought it just a US thing, but thinking of things, daily, which give rise to gratitude is a beautiful thing.

Thank you, Clare. Yes, the Thanksgiving holiday originated as a celebration of the survival of the Plymouth colony in Massachusetts after their first winter in the New World. I so agree that calling forth thoughts of gratitude daily is a great practice – one which leads to more happiness. Thanks again for the lovely comment. I’m grateful to know you.

I love that quote! How often we give thanks only with words but our hearts remain unaware of what a gift we have been given. Happy Thanksgiving dearest Cathy! You are a warm lovely soul and I am blessed to know you. A beautiful photo with such a delicate texture and lighting. Wonderfully captured! Hugs, Sharon
