Whoa, DUDE! His company has a branch there, so he must trek there every so often for training on stuff he already does every day. YAWN. We honeymooned in Estes Park last May too. Just beautiful. Hadn’t been to the area since I was about 15 years old. It was great.

We spent a very nice afternoon in RMNP. Creepy how there are Dont Feed The Animals signs everywhere, but the elk and the birds swarm you when you take out your picnic lunch, because they are used to being fed by people. It was so funny to see elk all over the town. of Estes Park They are so tame! One afternoon there must have been 20 or more of them just laying around the park. Smoking cigarettes, playing cards and drinking beer. Completely oblivious to the gaping tourists.

The National Parks attract all kinds of people who have never really experienced the “Great Outdoors” up close and personal. I think the animals that live in the parks are somehow used to this – maybe they like it? But the mountains in the park are spectacular, and if you hike, you’re able to get away from the crowds pretty quickly. There are so many places in RMNP that few see and it’s magical. I’m glad you enjoyed my beautiful adopted state.

Since Mr C could transfer to many places, Colorado among them, I would adopt it too, if the housing wasn’t so expensive. YIKES. I’m used to weather, because we live in Nebraska, but we don’t have the wonderful views like you guys do. 🙂

Yes, housing is more expensive, especially now that the economy is recovering (thank God!), but it is a really nice area with great schools and great people. Colorado is the “thinnest” state in the U.S. And we actually get really nice weather in the winter. but it is much drier here. I used to have oily skin but no more. I think everyone here is categorized as a “dry!” But I’m willing to put up with a few more wrinkes just to get to live here! 🙂

I like that quote, but I’ve been pretty much been doing that my entire life i.e., I’ve worked grinds just to cover the bills so I can invest my mental energy in what I like to do. Of course, this skewed style of ambition explains why I’ve been riding down the get rich slow road my entire life. I’m not surprised that that road looks so pretty though.

But how do you separate your heart and intuition from the voices in your head? What if you just follow what the voices tell you to do? In my case, they’re always chanting: MAKE. MORE. COOKIES.
