Weekly Photo Challenge – Surprise!

Scuba Weeble by Cathy Ulrich

Scuba Weeble by Cathy Ulrich

This photo includes a little backstory: In November, Madame Weebles created a contest to raise money for Movember. Being extremely camera-shy, she decided to post nine photos of her friends and one of herself and the contest involved guessing which photo was hers. I guessed right and my prize was a Weeble from her extensive collection. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and found my very own Scuba Weeble! I’m an avid Diver and amateur underwater photographer. It was the best surprise ever. Thank you, Weebs!

  2. There was no question that the scuba diver Weeble was the perfect one for you, Cathy. I’m so glad you like it! And I like how you posed him/her right in front of your goggles.

Thank you, Weebs. I had never seen a real Weeble before (believe it or not!) and I was also surprised at how small they are. Putting my Scuba Diver in front of my mask helps, I think, to appreciate scale.

  3. Oh, that’s so cool, Cathy! I love the Weeble. Who knew there was a scuba Weeble. Only Weebs would have one of those. I was sad I didn’t get one! Congrats to you for winning the contest.

  5. That’s funny, I actually made a reference to Weebles very recently. Not sure I owned any myself either, but I sure remember them! And I’m not surprised you’re into scuba diving, Cathy – you’re obviously deep. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. I really think that “Scuba Weeble” would make an excellent name for a rock band.
