I am amazed at Nature’s sculpting and painting. I’ve not been to this section of the country (walking around and SEEING it) but I’ve talked to those that have. Some describe it as amazing, awesome — all those words we rely on when words fail us. A friend of mine told me there was a place, Sedona, AZ, I believe where the air is electric with a something — a buzzing spiritual thing — ? I know this is what Utah looks like (I’ve been to the airport there and seen the magnificence of the mountains) but I’ve not explored it up close and personal. Beautiful! Now I’m off to drink in your post. ;).

      Brigitte,
Yes, these places are really beyond description and words do fail to capture the color, the sky, the air – all of it is one big sensory explosion! The rock formations in Moab are similar to those in Sedona, AZ. I’ve been there twice and it is a very special place. Most people talk about energy vortices in Sedona – and actually, I would agree that it’s possible to feel those – but even if not, it does feel like a very positive place. As always, thank you for your wonderful and supportive comments, Brig. I so appreciate you.

  6. There is some kind of quiet serenity in the barreness of these rocks. Funny how that works where less is just right.

So true…It does feel serene in these places. Whenever we go to Moab, there is wonderful road that starts in a barren desert and gradually descends to these magnificent rocks by the Colorado River and I can literally feel my whole nervous system relaxing with a lovely sigh. Thank you for stopping by!
