Sorry, Lou Ann, WordPress did that weird thing that when I didn’t wait long enough for it to post my comment to Frank, it went to you! I know you’re not Frank. LOL! Anyhoo, yes, apt observation, although, not necessarily something I would search for on Google! ๐

This photo requires marketing and replication. I stay at so many places with less significant work. HIRE an agent! Quickly, really. I know what I am talking about. Boutique Hotels would be all over you!

Thank you so much, Kathryn. I’m looking at an internet venue for selling prints on a new website that I’m working on now. But had never thought of an agent. My husband has been encouraging to get my work out there. Also thinking about a book…

BTW- I drug this photo right to my desk top because it moved me but there are ways to stop this but I do not know exactly what they are? Please try to halt plagiarism.? You are safe with me.

There are ways of protecting photos from copying, although I’m not sure about WordPress. I will check into it. Getty Images is one of those agencies and you can put what’s called a “digital watermark” on photos – a kind of tracing mechanism, but then you have to have someone like Getty pursuing those infringements. Of course, there’s the whole Pinterest thing, too and I’m not sure how that works as far as copyright infringements go. Interesting dilemma, Kathryn.

I bet I could learn a lot if I spent a day in your footsteps. There is a way but I don’t know it either. I suppose thats a good reason to sign your beautiful photos , but I don’t know how to do that either : )
I wish I did but I do not have photoshop. (Yet )
Someone yesterday told me about a program called Gimp? Similar to Photoshop but free.

I use Lightroom. I love it. It’s a great way to store and archive your photos as well as do basic digital developing and it’s not nearly as expensive as Photoshop. And you can create watermarks which it will add to the photo when you export it for publication as a jpeg. I shoot almost exclusively in RAW format and Lightroom makes it possible to work with those photos seamlessly. A wonderful tool! I also use an external hard drive to store my photos as an additional backup.

The Caribbean Octopus photo didn’t grab me the way others have, but this “poem” (?) and this fabulous orange Calla slays me! Loved the last bright orange Calla, but this just made me grin. Ear to ear, baby!

Thanks so much, Dawn! You’re right about the octopus shot. It’s not vibrant as are many of the others partly because I couldn’t get very close, partly because of the camera I was using at the time. I have a great underwater setup now, and I hope sometime to encounter one hunting again although truthfully, I’m not a big fan of night dives.

I’d like to take up diving… scares me, but as a kid I wanted only to be Jacques Cousteau. Not like him, him.

LOL! Me too! Him! Diving is one of my passions – there’s nothing else like it! I’ve been doing it for over twenty years and just took up UW photography about 5-6 years ago. It’s very challenging, but I love it.
