  3. So beautiful a pic. What better way to remember this quote, than when roses are showing their magnificence? 🙂

maybe like one’s chest in breathing, it expands and then contracts… personally, I haven’t found that it expands endlessly, like the expanding universe… but it could be that it’s different for each of us. Liked the idea, though… and the rose, Cathy. That’s exactly the sort of rose I feel most at home with.

I love red roses, too, Shimon! It was one that my husband gave me for our twentieth wedding anniversary. And maybe the expanding love quote is about watching it grow beyond our personal scope and into the world? At least that’s what it meant to me. We may never actually see all the places that it goes!

  7. Nice Cathy. Of course, I could never give the current object of my affection a rose. Her cats would go insane … But I could give her a refrigerator magnet with this picture of a rose. You’re onto something with these great shots — and lovely snippets of verse.

Thanks so much, V! The idea of a refrigerator magnet amuses. Oddly, while my cats love plants (to eat, that is) they seem to leave the roses alone…

      • Clearly, your cats have some semblance of self control. One of my Special Friend’s cats is a lunatic. The other one is mellow. Ironically, they’re sisters from the same litter.

No, they really don’t have any self control, they just don’t like roses. If you visited my house you would be struck by the fact that all of my living plants and I have many are perched on top of all the cabinets and high places throughout the house. I have to get up on a ladder to water them. That’s because they would be shedded in minutes if I left them close to the floor.

Yes, I have one of those too. He has been known to leap into Peter’s arms from the floor and Peter is 6’4″ while Peter is standing…

      • What you didn’t realize was that your cat is wearing Acme Brand spring shoes. Check those paws!

You’re right, V. I checked and Cielo has spring shoes…it says Acme right on the bottom.I should do a flash video of him jumping sometime.

Cathy, you are a breath of fresh air! I love the pic and the quote — your message of how if we give love out, it expands is one we all need to remember. Thank you.
