Gorgeous! Love the colors. My father used to keep bees in the side yard of our suburban home in California. He cut them out of my bedroom wall. Seriously. 🙂

Thanks, Jennifer. They were collecting nectar on these beautiful red flowers. I do know what you’re talking about with your bedroom wall. We had a wild swarm that decided to build a hive in the walls of our basement. Another story for another time…

There are lenses for an iPhone? I have an iPhone. This is exquisite. I love the translucent wings. This is positively touchable – almost.

Yes, Mary! Check out the link. These lenses are so cool and tiny! I carry them in my purse all the time. I just got the new telephoto and polarizing filter. Haven’t used it much yet, but it also seems to be a really nice one. Great product! And thanks so much!

Thank you for posting the link. I have seven more months on my current contract, after which I plan to upgrade to the new 5S, so I’ll wait on the lenses. But I definitely plan to get a package. What fun!

Wow Cathy! I checked out the olloclip — it looks very cool and so does your bee pic! I love bees, they defy psychics, don’t they. That plump little bodies with their whispery, paper-thin wings. Just beautiful. The red background and I feel as if I can touch the “furriness” of this little critter. Happy Monday!

Thanks, Brigitte. Happy Monday to you! I know! I kind of want to pet the little girl (they’re all girls, you know). And yes, if you have an iPhone, you might want to invest in an olloclip. I have two now, the macro/wide angle/fisheye and they just came out with a telephoto/polarizing filter combination. They’re tiny and I carry them in my purse all the time. I took this shot while at the Botanic Gardens when my sister was visiting a few weeks ago. So nice to have those lenses handy!

So impressed with how your iPhone and that little lens caught the action of a bee! Beautifully done! I wonder if they’ll come out with lenses for my Samsung.

I don’t know about lenses for the Samsung, but they really are handy! For me, it was almost enough reason to get an iPhone! 🙂

Thank you, Karen. With those lens clips, I have lots of options in my purse. I do have a great, full-frame DSLR, but I don’t take it with me all the time, so this is a great option. Thanks for the comment!

Cathy, I love your photo. I’ve been thinking of getting a macro lens for my iPhone. How do you like your Olloclip? Not being able to take close-ups is probably my biggest frustration with my phone camera.

Lee,
I LOVE the Olloclip! The original one has a wide-angle, fisheye and macro. And it’s a great macro. Not as good as the 100mm Tokina that I use on my Nikon, of course, but it’s a close second. I also love the fisheye in that same package. I don’t like fisheye shots enough to invest in one for my DSLR, but it’s fun to play with on the iPhone. The wide-angle is also nice, but I probably use that one the least. for $70, it’s a great deal and it’s tiny. I carry it in my purse all the time.
