    This heart rock really
    Reminded me of the awe
    Of nature’s wonder.

Okay, so my haiku isn’t that great, but you get where I’m coming from. Great, Cathy!!

Ha! Good catch. 🙂 But in a darkening sky, that face could get a little creepy…

  5. It looks like it has a face, Cathy. This is quite remarkable! A wonderland, indeed.

  6. A heart with a face
Seared in the red hot stone wall
    Towering above

The heart jumped right out at me. Amazing photo, Cathy.

    The face I might know
A stone heart that I might touch
    Blue sky whispers love

Haiku aside, Cathy, this image whispers love to me. . .

  9. You know I honestly think that spirits carve these things …. Do you recall the Old Man of the Mountain in Franconia Notch, NH?
    Great photo ..

Thank you, Peter. I’d have to agree with you about the spirit carvers. Along with the 9000-year-old rock art in the area, it’s a very magical place. I do remember the Old Man of the Mountain in Franconia Notch – also a special, magical place.
