A straight-down shot? Did you take the pic in Whole Foods?

  2. Carrie Rubin says:

    It looks quite prickly
    I would likely cut myself
    But that’s nothing new

  3. Pretty. It looks so exotic, Cathy!

  4. Andrea says:

wow this is so unusual for us here in the tropics, as the blues are not common here! I love it.

  5. Beautiful flower and terrific use of your macro lens, Cathy, but not a name that easily suits a rhyming couplet. Good use of haiku here.

I too like the texture, and your comment about it being soft when it looks so spiky adds even more to its mystique. Thank you, Cathy.

      Hi Russ!
Thanks so much! I read about these on Wikipedia and apparently they’re used for herbal teas and essential oils as well. They contain a lot of bioflavioids! Who knew? 🙂

Love it! And LOVE Whole Foods. We’ve got a great one here and a Trader’s Joe’s practically next to it.

    A new favorite for me
    You bring such delight!
