Paradise Found

It’s cloudy and cold here today and I’m yearning for Spring (and Spring skiing!). I thought I’d share a shot I took at the Denver Botanic Gardens and painted in Waterlogue on my iPhone! Hope your Sunday is sunny and bright regardless of what the weather is doing!

  2. Wow, Cathy! Your talents never cease to amaze me. This is so creative and interesting. I’ve never tried any of those painting programs, but this is inspiring!

As a photographer yourself, you might really enjoy this one, Dawn. It’s called Waterlogue and I have it on my iPhone and iPad. It’s very easy to use and just plain fun (all for the outrageous price of $2.99)! Thanks so much for your kind words!

  5. Love the painting (and that app, which I downloaded myself recently). We could use a little spring here too! 🙂

  6. What will they think of next in the app department, Cathy? Maybe an app that will create whatever app a user can think of? Let’s not dwell on that … Let’s dwell on the vibrant watercolor image you created, but I am a bit curious about what your source photo looks like. Gut feeling: equally good.

Right now, on my iPhone’s weather app it’s 52 and spring-like sunny! Yay! But snowflakes are in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday so it’s back to wicked winter reality. Boo.

      Thanks, V. Here’s source photo:Paradise Found Photo
I liked it, but I think I like the watercolor better. Glad it’s sunny there. The clouds burned off here and our weather’s about the same as yours. And, yes, I don’t think we’re done with winter yet. Hope your day is good, though.

      • Thanks for sharing! I like the watercolor more, too, now that I’m able to compare both. The heat’s come up over here. Tomorrow’s low looks like it’s going to be 19, but now there’s just a snowflake on Wednesday. No complaints about that.

Good, I’m glad the snow is staying away. Here too. It’s almost all melted. The good news is, it’s still snowing in the mountains. We like it up there better…

      • I think I have may have spoken too soon. Watching the tube now, and the weather forecaster just delivered a teaser and said they we’ll be in for more soon. I agree with you about the snow: stay in the mountains!

  7. That waterlogue app produces a beautiful result.

Here it has been grey, overcast, windy and cold, but inside the people have been Sunshine and love.

  8. I have to get that app!! I took some photos of these flowers in Costa Rica and although they were stunning on their own, I love this idea, too.

I have never heard of such an app….I am a painter, I guess stubborn and out dated. I cannot fathom a watercolor app in reality but it looks good I must reluctantly admit. I have an app called Glaze which is essentially the same so I don’t know why I am so bunched up… Hugs!

No problem, Kathryn! I paint, too, but sometimes, it’s just fun to take a colorful-but-average photograph and play with it! 🙂

I do it all the time with other apps! I never knew about that app and it would make me feel like an UBER waste of talent! : )
