Reflections
My offering this week was taken at the Weekend of Jazz at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs last April. The beautiful Sy Smith joined trumpeter Chris Botti for an unforgettable concert, and I was fortunate enough to be sitting close to the front of the performance hall to capture this shot. Our seventh year attending that event, I’m reflecting on the great times we’ve had there. We’re not returning this year – giving it a break – but hope to go back in the future.

Whoa, Cathy that’s a great shot illustrating reflections! At first I noticed Sy’s silvery gown and then I realized there she was again in blue in the background. Very nice work!

Thanks, V. Believe it or not, this is an unretouched shot. There were large projection screens in the hall and I was able to capture Sy and her image on the projection screen.
