I love adobe houses, Cathy. I see you’re doing well with the poetry, too. 🙂

Thank you, Janet! I so love these adobe houses! I remembered this shot from our visit to the Taos Puebo. And the poetry? One day at a time! 🙂

Nice interpretation of the Threshold theme! I love the Southwest and everything associated with it. Some people think it barren but I find it beautiful and I love those adobe houses in New Mexico, which is the only place I’ve found them, not that they’re not anywhere else. Very lovely photograph.
As for me, I was out looking for photographs reflecting the Halloween theme last October and came across this interesting Threshold. You’re welcome to come and see what my take on this week’s theme is:

Nice shot. I’m taking a wild guess here and I’ll say that this is shot in a warm country 😀

Thanks! It’s actually in an area that gets a significant winter. Northern New Mexico is relatively far south in the continental U.S., but at a high altitude – around 7000 feet, so it get snow and cold weather several months out of the year.

I can’t believe how behind I’m here. Are adobes still built today?

I think so, Frank. I know they are still building and repairing structures in the pueblo.

Thanks so much, Cindy. I agree! I so wanted to see what these homes looked and felt like inside. This is a home in the Taos Pueblo in New Mexico – over a thousand years old!
