Thank you, Amy. This is Canyonlands National Park. Did you ever go to Moab when you lived in Boulder?

I like it when you go Ansel Adams, Cathy. The structures at the top of the peak look like ruins of Flintstone era buildings. This whole image could be what became of Bedrock. Very cool.

I agree, V. They could the ruins from Bedrock. Interestingly, you must have been channeling Frank’s post this weekend since he decided to post on Barney Rubble! And your Ansel Adams comment made me laugh. I wish I could channel Ansel!

I know that is a coincidence: my comment and Frank’s Barney Rubble post! Maybe we’re all on the same wavelength one way or another here in the blogosphere, Cathy. Lately, that’s happened a few times between Susie Lindau and me.

Hey, if you have a few hours to kill, this is a riveting article I read online in the NY Times this afternoon. It’s interactive. I started reading it for a few minutes and got completely hooked.

Looks really interesting, V. I did take a quick look, but will spend more time with it tomorrow. It’s supposed to snow 8 inches tonight, so I don’t think I’m going anywhere tomorrow!

Well, I’m still taking it easy because of my cold, so it was the ideal time for me to read something long form plus it has videos, music and pictures! Very stimulating! I am SO happy that the snow seems to be over here in the Big Apple. I’ve had my fill of it for the rest of the year, or more likely, until December. Good thing you love skiing. You might be okay with it.

Amen to that, Lee! The landscapes in southeastern Utah boggle the mind and senses. And they’re magnificent in color, but I think the black and white brings to awareness a sense of the structure of these places.
