To me, nothing says Spring better than the wonderful color and feel of emerging spring bulbs. Daffodils display the color of the sun – and its return to the south after a long winter.

I’m not a huge fan of yellow for most things, but give me a yellow flower, and I’m there. Very pretty!

Cathy, daffodils so remind me of Spring. As you know I grew up in the country and my Grandmother’s yard had so many bright yellow daffodils growing yard. My Mom said when she came home from the hospital with our baby sister, we three girls (my sisters and I) had a bunch of daffodils picked and put in a white vase for her. So I have some sweet and nostalgic memories of daffodils. Beautiful picture, as always!

What a sweet story, Brigitte! And what a a wonderful way to greet your baby sister. Thank you. Daffodils (or as we called them in the South, Jonquils) hold a special place in my heart, too. I just remember that they bloomed MUCH earlier there than here! Hope your spring is going wonderfully, dear friend.

How on earth did you find the prompt? I have an email, but when I go to it, it says nothing is found. I’ve tried everything!

I have just been going to the daily post around 10 on Fridays, Janet. I’m not getting the emails. If you go to the home page, it’s in the right sidebar.

I restarted my computer and it’s still not working properly. I got there from the link on Cee’s page but then can’t get a comment in or get to the newer comment page. Someone else said they’re having similar problems, so it’s not just me.

I can get to the home page, but now when I click on the Photo Challenge, it also says the page can’t be found. Sounds like something’s broken on the WP site. I was able to see it this morning, but not now.

That’s what happened to me over and over. Something’s definitely not right.

And there’s no way to contact anyone, which is frustrating. Oh, well, life goes on. Enjoy the weekend, Cathy.

You too, Janet. I suspect they’ll figure out that it’s broken soon.

Absolutely! The very first sign of spring for me has been crocuses, but I’ve seen them in snow many times. By the time the daffodils pop up, the weather has turned and spring has truly arrived.

Yes, it is truly spring here too. I planted my snap peas and kale in the garden on Friday and I’m now shifted mentally towards warmer (shorts) weather! Thanks, Susan.

Your image of that vibrant daffodil, Cathy, is such a lovely shot of a spring flower and a much more welcome sign of the season than the nonstop sneezing I hear throughout the day from my allergy-plagued colleague, Godsend the Sufferer.

Poor Godsend! Honestly, I didn’t think there was enough plant matter in the Big Apple to cause allergies, but I guess that shows you what I know as someone who lives very far west of the Hudson!
Thanks, as always, for the gracious compliment, V. And sorry for the delay in replying. Peter and I were very busy yesterday doing a dry run canopy tent installation in preparation for my first art show at the end of the month. Yes, I am going full bore and doing an art show to sell my photography once a month over the summer. I’m very excited and thinking at this point that it will be very fun.

Hey, I wanted to respond to your response much sooner, but life’s gotten in the way this week. I think it’s FANTASTIC that you’re doing an art show! You take gorgeous pictures and if your personality in Real Life is anything like what it is on your site, I’m sure you’ll have a blast. I wish you great success with this venture!

Thanks Cathy. Godsend over here at The Grind snapped the shot. One take. We work fast. It was time to update the image. I have new glasses and I’m five years less immature.
