Cape Cod! You were close to where I live in that photo. (I live in Rhode Island.) I recognize that scene, off-season, overcast sky and frothy edge to the flap of waves. You captured it perfectly.

Thank you, Mary! Yes, I love that area. Sadly I don’t get there often, but it has such a mystique to it!

Bet the beach doesn’t look like that now. Something tells me there are a lot more bodies populating it this time of year. 🙂

Nope, I suspect there are a lot of bodies there now. It was so mystical on that particular day.

Cathy, Cape Cod (and Nantucket) are my favorite places in the world. I prefer visiting beaches during off season. I so appreciate the gorgeous volatile nature of these types of beaches, even on overcast days such as what you’ve depicted here. There is some kind of mysterious and beautiful melancholy to them, don’t you think?
This should be in your collection! Happy weekend to you.

I so agree, Brigitte. I love beaches during the off season too. There’s something about having them all to myself – like some special gift! I love Cape Cod – so much history and sand!
Hope you’re having great weekend, too!
