Hannah
Hannah Alkire plays the cello during a performance with her husband Joe Scott. Together they comprise Acoustic Eidolon – a Colorado ensemble that travels around the world playing wonderful music. This shot was taken during a concert at The Mishawaka Amphitheater on the banks of the Cache Le Poudre River west of Fort Collins, Colorado. Hannah and Joe shared the stage with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra. It was a magical summer and a fabulous concert.
I chose this shot because I love Hannah’s facial expression and posture. To me she reflects a state of mind that is contemplative and relaxed.

Great shot Cathy! I love small ensembles like this. I bet this was a fantastic concert and the venue looks inspiring. My niece plays the cello and I think it is such a powerful yet sensuous instrument. Nice to see you in blogland, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend, Cathy.

It was downright magical, Carrie! I love Acoustic Eidolon’s music and I’ve seen them several times in concert here in Northern Colorado, but I must say, the concert with the FC Symphony in that outdoor venue is my favorite.

I definitely get the relaxed and contemplative vibe here and the concert was right by the river, too. Beautiful shot. I bet it was magical. Great for the challenge, too. P.S. Her necklace is gorgeous!

Thanks, Amy. Did you ever go up to Mishawaka when you lived here? I had never been before this concert and my take on it had always been that it was kindof a hippie hangout, but it’s a really beautiful setting and I’d like to go see more concerts there. And I agree, I love Hannah’s jewelry.

Sadly… no. I was coming, but life imploded, and now I’m just treading water. Sniff sniff! It may be a good long while, as my boy will be overseas next fall. Unless I come in May to help him move back. I’ll keep you posted, darlin!
