As a scuba diver, the very word “Descent” means excitement and discovery, for one must descend into the depths to appreciate the undersea world. I chose a shot for today’s challenge that exemplifies what one might see at the beginning of the descent on a boat dive. Here are some Chubs hanging out underneath the Sun Dancer II on our recent trip to Belize. It’s always fun and quite common to see schools of fish circling under a large boat. And yes, the large opaque structure in the upper left side of the shot is the hull of the Sun Dancer II.

Thanks, V. I can’t say that I had any control of the crowd, but they do seem to follow some rules unbeknownst to me!

Cathy, I like the way the shadow divides the photo in two, but at an angle.

Cathy! I’m so late on commenting here but I’ve been meaning to. I love the gorgeous shades of blue here. How exciting that you get to see this other-world so close up. I’ve always been terrified of scuba diving, but you–you are the the adventurous one! I bet you’ve seen things that many of us will never see. But, I so appreciate your giving us these beautiful glimpses.
(P.S. Your photo store/shop is stunning!)
